Editing symbols saved on the wrong exchange

Some positions on non-US exchanges may be saved incorrectly as US positions and vice versa.  This is due to the currency displayed at the brokerage.

You can adjust a symbol in your program if it was saved on the wrong exchange. To access this feature, please take the following steps:

  • Click on the incorrect symbol to open the Asset Details page.
  • Click the pencil icon next to the stock exchange of the position.

  • You will then see a pop-up box showing a selection of different exchanges on which this symbol may trade on (sometimes for a different company). You can select the correct exchange and click "Save Changes".

  • Note: You will need to re-add any alerts to the position as this action will remove any previously saved alerts.
