What Is Ask TradeSmith?
Ask TradeSmith is an interactive chat feature enhanced with a real-time stock screener. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned investor, you can ask about stock performance, financial metrics, and market trends, or even compare companies, and get clear, data-driven answers instantly.
Ask TradeSmith is currently in Beta and available exclusively to Platinum members. Access may expand to additional membership tiers as the feature develops.
How to Find Ask TradeSmith
- Log in to your TradeSmith Finance account.
- From the top navigation bar, click Invest.
- Click the Ask TradeSmith tab, marked with a green BETA badge.
- This opens the Ask TradeSmith chat window, where you can start a new conversation or revisit chats from the past 30 days in the left-hand panel.
What You Can Ask
- Stock performance (e.g., "How has AAPL performed over the past year?")
- Financial metrics (e.g., "What's the P/E ratio for MSFT?")
- Market trends (e.g., "What sectors are leading the market this week?")
- Company comparisons (e.g., "Compare NVDA and AMD.")
Getting Started
Type your question into the box at the bottom of the screen and select the send arrow (or press Enter). To start a fresh conversation at any time, click + New Chat in the top left.

Good to Know
As a Beta feature, Ask TradeSmith is still being refined, and its chat responses can make mistakes. Always double-check important information before making investment decisions. Only Platinum members currently have access to this tab; other members will not see it under Invest.
