A basket is simply a watchlist. And watchlists matter—they help you stay organized and informed as you track stocks, ETFs, and other assets you’re interested in.

Let’s tour your Trade Cycles Basket feature together.

To access your baskets, go to the Baskets page at the top navigational header.   

On the Baskets page, you will see two sections: 

• My Baskets: This section contains any baskets you’ve created. 
• TradeSmith Baskets: This section includes pre-built baskets such as the Bullish and Bearish Harmonic Convergence, Markets, Most Searched Cryptos and Stocks, Sector SPDR ETFs, and the Top 10 Bullish and Bearish Seasonal Stocks for the year.

This page displays the basket categories, descriptions, the number of tickers in each basket, the Short-term and Long-term Health Distribution, and Trend Allocation.

Creating a basket

To create a new basket, click the Add Basket button at the top left of the page.  

You can also import a spreadsheet by clicking the "Import from CSV” link within the Add Basket drop-down menu.

After clicking the “Add Basket” link, you will be prompted to enter your new basket name, description, tickers, and sources.

You can add individual tickers (that you update) or automate your basket by adding sources from your favorite newsletter recommendations, model portfolios, and saved screeners.

When finished, hit the Save button below. 

Please remember that you can ONLY edit the baskets you create under My Baskets, as the TradeSmith Baskets are managed by the TradeSmith development team. 

To edit your basket, click the blue drop-down triangle to the left of your basket.

The “Edit” option allows you to update the basket name and description. The “Run Screener” option will route you to the Screener tool, where you can screen for securities based on several TradeSmith indicators and other technical and fundamental metrics. The “Watch my Trade Cycles Calendar” routes you to the Trade Cycles Calendar, and “Delete” removes your basket.

When you check the white boxes to the left of each basket, you will see a menu at the bottom of your screen with options to delete the selected baskets, run the Screener tool, and go to your Trade Cycles Calendar. 

Please keep in mind that if you check more than one basket (My Baskets or TradeSmith Baskets), the option to “Watch my Trade Cycles Calendar” is disabled, as you can only view one basket at a time under the Trade Cycles Calendar.

Before we end our tour, here is some information about your Trade Cycles baskets.

These baskets refer to groups of stocks or indexes selected based on technical indicators that reveal upcoming seasonality patterns that align with potential price turns and the Relative Strength Index (RSI).

• Bullish Harmonic Convergence basket: includes bullish securities at a current or upcoming bottom (valley), with projected price moves higher, positive seasonality returns within the next two months, and an RSI below 30 (signaling the security is oversold). 
• Bearish Harmonic Convergence basket: includes bearish stocks at a current or upcoming top (peak), with projected price moves lower, negative seasonality returns within the next two months, and an RSI above 70 (signaling the security is overbought). 
• Top 10 Bullish Seasonal Stocks: includes stocks with the most bullish seasonality trends and the highest historical accuracy rates.
• Top 10 Bearish Seasonal Stocks: includes stocks with the most bearish seasonality trends and the highest historical accuracy rates.
