The Commodities Tab

The Commodities tab, located under Markets, gives an overview of commodity performance.

You can review the following commodities:

  • Natural Gas
  • Brent Crude Oil
  • WTI Crude Oil
  • RBOB Gasoline
  • Corn
  • Soybeans
  • Wheat
  • Copper
  • Aluminum
  • Nickel
  • Live Cattle
  • Gold
  • Silver
  • Sugar
  • Coffee
  • Cotton

On this page, you can view the information in either a Tile or List view. We will review the List view below.

 

This page is pretty easy to follow, so let’s do an overview.

 

Understanding the Commodity Table (Left to Right)

1️⃣ Group Column – Shows the category each commodity belongs to.

2️⃣ Commodity Name – Identifies the specific commodity being analyzed.

3️⃣ Commodity ETF – Displays the ETF ticker. Clicking it opens the Analyzer page for more details.

4️⃣ Health Indicator – Evaluates the commodity’s status:

  • Green = Performing well
  • Yellow = Correcting (caution)
  • Red = Stopped out

5️⃣ VQ (Volatility Quotient) – Measures risk based on historical performance:

  • <15% = Low risk
  • 15-30% = Medium risk
  • 30-50% = High risk
  • >50% = Extremely high risk

6️⃣ Price Range – Displays a year’s worth of price performance and current position.

7️⃣ Latest Close – Shows the most recent market close price.

8️⃣ Daily Gain – Reflects the commodity’s latest daily gain or loss.

9️⃣ Latest Price – Updates frequently with the current trading price.
