Alert Templates let you set up multiple alerts in one easy grouping. You can find your Alert Templates on your TradeSmith Finance site under the Alert Templates tab.
TradeSmith has created some default Templates for you. These include:
- 15% trailing stop
- 20% trailing stop
- 25% trailing stop
- VQ trailing stop
You can also create your own Templates. To create your own template, click the Add Template button.
- You will need to specify your template name (1).
- Then, select the type of alert you would like to set a template for (2).
- To the right, click Add Alert for the alert you would like to add to your template (3). You will see the selected alerts appear at the bottom of the page (4).
- If you want this template to be your default, check the Make Default button (5). Your default alert would be added to all new positions you add to your portfolios.
- Don't forget to click save (6)!
Here’s what the Template screen could look like after creating your own Templates, along with the defaults.
Anything hyperlinked in blue is a custom template. Simple black text is a default template.
Clicking the white boxes to the left of the Template name lets you delete the Template. To edit your template, click on the Template name.
Selecting a Template as Default will make it the default alert when adding alerts manually.
