Adding Options- Simple Mode
To add options in simple mode, click the Add Position button from the Positions sub-tab.
Note: You can not manually add options to a synchronized portfolio. We will receive the purchased option through the synchronization process.

- First, select the portfolio to which you wish to add the option (1).
- Under Asset Type, select Option (2).
- Enter the ticker for the Underlying Asset (3).
- Enter the expiration date for the option (4).
- Enter the strike price (5).
- Select the option type, call or put (6).
- Enter the date that you purchased the option (7).
- The buy price (8) will automatically fill in with the close price from the date of purchase. Please feel free to edit this field if you need to.
- Under quantity, enter the number of contracts (9) purchased.
- Under Position Type (10), selecting long will signify a buy, and short will signify a sell.
- If you would like to set an alert on this position, select an alert template (11)
- Click Save and Close (12)
