Money Movers

The Money Movers tab shows you which sectors and stocks institutional traders, investment banks, and billionaires are moving into and out of.  

 

You’ll access the Money Movers tab under the Invest menu:

 

 

Understanding the Money Mover Tab

This tab contains a lot of information, so we’ll break it down into sections.

1️⃣ Top Money Moving by Sector – Highlights the sectors with the most movement.
2️⃣ Top Money Movers – Displays the biggest movers in the market.
3️⃣ Sorting Options – You can sort Top Money Movers by those moving up or down.

Score Interpretation:

  • Scores range from 0 to 100Closer to 100 = Strong buy signal
  • Scores range from 0 to -100Closer to -100 = Strong sell signal

 

 

As you scroll down the page, the next section covers Individual Signals.   

 

Individual Signals Tabs

1️⃣ Moving Up – Lists stocks with increasing momentum.
2️⃣ Moving Down – Shows stocks experiencing a decline.
3️⃣ Unusual Activity – Highlights unusual market behavior, available for Options.

 

 

After you select a tab, you will then see four widgets.

 

 Key Market Indicators & Activity

 

1️⃣ Institution & Insider Activity

  • Insider Section – Tracks buying activity from company officers, directors, and those with inside information.
  • Institution Section – Monitors TradeSmith Billionaires Club holdings, identifying stocks Moving Up (new buys) or Moving Down (fully sold off).

2️⃣ On Balance Volume (OBV)

  • A momentum indicator measuring positive and negative volume flow to anticipate major market shifts.

3️⃣ Smart Money Index (SMI)

  • Measures investor sentiment based on intra-day price patterns, indicating smart money flow.

4️⃣ Money Flow Index (MFI)

  • A technical oscillator that detects overbought (≥80, sell signal) or oversold (≤20, buy signal) conditions, helping identify trend changes.
