Video 4: Your Market Calendar
Nov. 5, 2025
Hi folks! Marina Stroud here. I am your Senior Product Education Specialist. TradeSmith provides various ways to find new opportunities and stay informed.
Today, we’ll dive into the Market Calendar—a feature designed to keep you in the loop on upcoming corporate events for your baskets, newsletters, and other sources. Whether you’re tracking earnings reports, dividend announcements, or other key events, the Market Calendar ensures you never miss a beat.
Great, let’s head to the website.
To access your Market Calendar, go to the Calendar page at the top navigational header. You can view corporate actions in a weekly or a monthly calendar.
The market events for today are listed below, broken into key corporate event tabs: Dividends, Splits, Earnings, and IPOs.
Understanding when dividends are paid allows investors to plan their investments to receive these payouts, which can be an important part of their income strategy. Knowing the ex-dividend date is especially important for those looking to capture dividend payments.
Note: The ex-dividend date is the cutoff date that determines whether you qualify to receive a company’s upcoming dividend payment.
Stock splits can affect the number of shares an investor owns and the stock’s price per share.
Understanding the timing of splits allows investors to make informed decisions about buying or selling shares before or after the split.
Earnings reports often cause significant volatility in stock prices. By knowing the earnings calendar, investors can position themselves either to benefit from the anticipated price movements or to protect their portfolios from potential downside risks.
Information about IPOs can provide opportunities to invest in new companies at the ground level. Knowing the IPO dates helps investors decide whether to participate in the initial offering and strategize accordingly.
To adjust your calendar preferences, click the Filters button.
You can adjust your source type, country of exchange, and events. The default is to provide all corporate events for U.S. stocks.
And that’s all there is to it!
