Navigating the PVQ Analyzer

The PVQ Analyzer shows you how heavily invested you are in risky positions.

This is based on our Volatility Quotient (VQ)

As a reminder, here’s how the VQ is distributed:

  • Below 15% is low risk
  • 15 – 30% is medium risk
  • 30 – 50% is high risk
  • Above 50% is sky high risk

Let’s get started.

You’ll access the PVQ Analyzer under My Portfolios.

Running PVQ Analyzer:

First, select a portfolio.

You may notice that only All Investment and All Watch are available. Click the little triangles to the left of these titles to see your individual portfolios.

Then, select if you’d like to include Cash.

Click Analyze when you’re done, and a pie chart will appear.

You can see how heavily invested you are in the different VQ ranges. You can also see your portfolio’s overall risk rating.

In our example above, you’ll notice that there is a small portion of the chart called N/A.  This represents positions that do not currently have a VQ. This will commonly happen with IPOs, ICOs, and options, as there isn’t enough trading data to calculate the VQ yet.

To drill down into each risk category, click the color on the pie chart.

This then shows you which positions fall into the risk category.

Notice how the ticker symbols are hyperlinked. You can click these to be brought to the Position Card Page for that ticker.

If you don’t have access to the PVQ Analyzer, please call our Dedicated Plans Specialist team at 866-220-1107.
