Getting Started with Money Movers by TradeSmith

Published on April 9, 2026.

Let’s explore the customizable settings within your TradeSmith program—giving you the tools to personalize your experience, fine-tune alerts, and tailor notifications to suit your preferences.

To access your program settings, click on the drop-down menu with your first initial located in the top-right corner of the site, then select Settings.

Pro Tip: If you can’t access the orange Support button, you’ll find the Education Center here as well.

Once you’re on the Settings page, you will notice a navigation menu along the far left-hand side. This menu allows you to easily explore and customize various features of your TradeSmith experience.

My General Settings

Let’s start with your general settings. Here you can choose how the Asset Details tabs behave when you search for a ticker. You can either select a default tab or have the system remember the last tab you viewed.

Notification

The Notification menu allows you to set your email notification preferences, including where you would like email notifications sent, notification availability, and newsletter-related notification settings.

Under Email Notifications, you will see your primary email address listed. You can add up to 3 email addresses.

This is perfect for couples or families—for example, a husband-and-wife team can include both email addresses, ensuring everyone stays informed with alerts and important updates.

Pro Tip: If you are not receiving your email notification alerts, click the Test button to check whether your email provider is blocking our messages.

In addition to email, you can also receive alerts via push notifications on your mobile device by using the TradeSmith mobile app.

For step-by-step guidance on setting up the app and enabling mobile alerts, visit the Customer Success Team folder under our Support Menu Resources.

At the bottom of the Notifications page, you’ll find additional settings to manage notifications for your newsletters and other notifications (Billionaires Club, Money Movers, Strategies).

Notifications

You can select the newsletters you wish to receive notifications on, as part of your active subscriptions.

You can receive individual emails, consolidated reports, or opt out of certain notifications by checking "Do not send."

To access your recent notification email, click the “Email History” link, which will direct you to the Email History tab on the Events page (also accessible via the More drop-down menu). This way, you don’t have to scour through your email inbox to find your notifications.

If you make any changes, be sure to click the Save button.

Alerts

The Alerts menu lets you add your available system alerts across your baskets. You can also decide how you’d like to group your alerts.

The Company Events (Form 8-K) system alert is tied to Form 8-K—a report companies are required to file with the SEC to announce important events that shareholders should know about.

Under Alerts Consolidation, you can select how you would like to group your alerts.

By default, your alerts are sent as “Grouped Reports." This format ensures more timely and efficient delivery, as the alerts are sent directly from our data provider shortly after each day’s closing prices are finalized.

We strongly recommend keeping this setting as is. Switching to “Individual Notifications” may overwhelm your inbox with a separate email for every alert.

If you make any changes, be sure to click the “Save” button at the bottom of the page to ensure your preferences are applied.

Support

Under Support, you will find our contact information.

If you are experiencing technical difficulties, please grant our support team access to your site so they can troubleshoot.

To grant our team access, hit the “Change” link and specify the access duration necessary to resolve the issue.

Security

The Security menu lets you add a two-factor authentication code when logging in from an unfamiliar device.

To enable this security feature, click the “Authentication App” button and follow the prompts.

Setting your program preferences helps tailor the experience to your needs. You can choose the alerts and notifications you want, so the platform supports your investment goals while keeping you informed—without the overload.
