TradeSmith and Chaikin Analytics have joined forces to bring the power of Chaikin’s indicators to TradeSmith’s Screener tool, where you can scan for thousands of securities based on Chaikin’s Power Gauge Rating, TradeSmith’s indicators, and other technical and fundamental indicators.

Note: You must have an active Chaikin subscription that includes access to the Chaikin Power Gauge.

To access the Screener tool, click the Screener tab from the Invest page at the top navigational header.

You will see numerous filter categories you can use to scan for securities. To add the Chaikin Power Gauge Rating filter, click the Add Filter button:

Check the “Chaikin Power Gauge Rating" filter from the Chaikin filter category and set your preferences:

The Power Gauge stock rating combines 20 different factors into a single rating, designed to forecast a stock’s potential to outperform or underperform the market. The model has been independently back-tested and has delivered consistent results since it launched in 2011.

The 4 Main Categories of the Model:

• Financial Metrics – balance sheet and valuation strength
• Earnings Performance – earnings surprises, trends, and revisions
• Technicals – price trends and strength
• Expert Sentiment – analyst ratings, short interest, and insider activity

Each factor is weighted and combined to produce a daily rating for every stock with at least one year of trading history and consistent earnings data.
