Your TradeSmith Newsletter Command Center: The My Services Page

From day one, TradeSmith has been committed to transforming the traditional newsletter experience. Our goal is to go beyond static recommendations by equipping members with powerful software tools that help you organize, monitor, and act on investment ideas with confidence.

TradeSmith seamlessly combines the fundamental insights from your newsletters with our proprietary technical indicators, giving you a more complete, data-driven edge in the market.

Introducing the My Services Page

Think of the My Services page—accessible from the top navigation menu—as your personal newsletter command center. This is where you can:

  • Manage your newsletter subscriptions
  • Analyze recommendations using TradeSmith’s tools
  • Monitor performance, risk, and health across strategies

As you explore this page, you’ll notice several newsletter-related tabs, each designed to help you stay organized, efficient, and informed.

Note: Your available newsletters will vary depending on your TradeSmith subscriptions.

TradeSmith Newsletters

At the top of the page, you’ll find your TradeSmith Newsletters. Each week, these publications deliver educational content, market insights, and actionable ideas designed to help you make better-informed decisions.

You can click on any newsletter icon to navigate directly to that publication’s site page.

Trade Cycles

When you click on the Trade Cycles newsletter, you’ll be taken directly to the Trade Cycles website. There, you can access the latest issues and alerts, special reports, and additional resources to help you better understand and use your Trade Cycles services.

Senior Analyst William McCanless is your guru behind your Trade Cycle publications and writes special reports and alerts for the Trade Cycles model portfolios.

William is obsessed with studying markets and psychology, giving him an X-ray into why prices move the way they do.

After apprenticing with multiple proprietary trading firms, futures traders, and former CBOE options market makers, William specializes in identifying repeatable, high-probability cycles backed by decades of historical market data.

Email William and the editorial team at [email protected].

Take some time to explore your Trade Cycles website. Under Portfolios, you'll find another model portfolio — one that pre-dates both Seasonal Edge and Seasonal Advantage. We simply called it the Trade Cycles portfolio.

The Portfolios Tab

Next, select the Portfolios tab.

This tab displays your active TradeSmith subscriptions and newsletter affiliate portfolios, giving you a centralized view of all your investment services.

The Overview Tab

The Overview tab provides a high-level snapshot of your active subscriptions and their performance.

From here, you can:

  • See top-ranked newsletter recommendations based on TradeSmith algorithms
  • Identify best-performing recommendations
  • Track recently opened and closed trades

This bird’s-eye view makes it easy to understand how your strategies are performing at a glance.

The Top Recommendations Tab

Last—but certainly not least—is the Top Recommendations tab.

This powerful tool lets you:

  • Analyze securities from your favorite newsletters
  • Apply TradeSmith’s algorithms and strategies to identify high-quality opportunities

By default, the tool includes recommendations from all your active newsletters. You can refine your analysis by clicking the Filters button on the right and selecting specific publications.

The Rank Recommendations toggle feature incorporates TradeSmith’s proprietary indicators. It filters out newsletter recommendations that are not in the Health Indicator Green Zone (Long-Term), that don’t have an average Volatility Quotient (VQ) of 40% or less, and are not at a positive gain since triggering the Health Indicator Entry Signal. There are also specific volume considerations for liquidity.

Note: Your available strategies depend on your active TradeSmith subscriptions. For example, the above-listed strategies pertain to Trade Cycles by TradeSmith.

Once your results are displayed, you can:

  • Save them as a watch list
  • Track them in your TradeSmith Finance account
  • Print or export the data for further review

To learn more about your Timing RSI Rebounds and Trade Wave strategies, go to the Strategies tab in the Invest page. Here you can find a description of each strategy in the Overview subtab.

In the Overview subtab, you will see "Performance" and "The Approach" tabs.

The Performance tab includes the top tickers for the model portfolio and its backtested performance compared to the S&P 500.

The Approach tab details why you would follow the strategy, including entry and exit criteria.
